How are our entries judged?

The judging panel comprises senior mobile telecoms experts. Judging day takes place in a central London business venue. Judges are in groups according to their expertise and each judge examines all the submissions in their allocated categories.

Independently scored

Each entry is independently scored by the judges against the category's specific criteria. Judges can discuss entries but their scoring remains confidential to themselves.

Judges must declare any relationship with any of the entrants and must recuse themselves from that category with their place filed by a judge from another group at the start of the process. Judges can score an entry against each of the criteria.

Once the scoring is complete, scores are averaged a calculated by the entry platform which ranks them according to the number of points from each judge.

The Mobile News Awards team supervises the judging day to ensure the process is adhered to and to respond to any questions the judges may have.
